| Configuration | Description |
|---|---|
| Factor only | A constant scalar or color value; no texture connected. |
| Texture only | A texture map connected; factor is left at its default (1.0 or white). |
| Factor + Texture | Both connected; the factor multiplies/tints the sampled texture value. |
| Grayscale image | A single-channel (grayscale) image used as the source. |
| Channel-packed map | Multiple properties packed into separate channels of one texture (e.g., ORM, MetallicRoughness). |
